Praise Be To Snoop Whatever
You probably heard that Snoop Dogg has become Snoop Lion after a spiritual awakening of sorts during a visit to a Rastafarian temple in Jamaica.
And I say FUCK YEAH.
Everywhere I go, I see internet snickering. People saying “Musta been some good shit” as if Snoop has smoked anything less, ever.
So he is transforming himself, artistically, image-wise, the works. WTF is wrong with that? Why is that so funny? “No,” people are saying, “this is not from the Onion.”
He’s tired of rap, as are we all. New, he wants something new, something meaningful. Must he always be this pothead rapper caricature?
So Snoop, at 40, goes and does something completely unexpected: he has a spiritual awakening. I would kill for a spiritual awakening.
You go, Snoop. Fuck yeah.
